On Thursday, it was revealed that longtime Criminal Minds cast member, Thomas Gibson, has been suspended from the CBS crime drama after clashing with a writer and kicking him in the leg. Whoa!

According to TMZ, the 54-year-old got into a creative dispute with one of the CM's writers while he was serving as both actor and director for an episode a few weeks back. Supposedly, as the argument escalated, Thomas' anger got the best of him and he kicked the writer in the leg. Yikes!
Obviously, the writer was NOT okay with being treated that way as he called his agent about the incident — who in turn called the heads of the network. Despite being one of the show's OG cast members, Gibson was suspended from the procedural hit for an unknown length of time. In fact, the Dharma & Greg alum has already been gone from the set for about two weeks.
Nonetheless, Thomas has since explained his side of the story as he dished to the publication that he kicked the staff member "in retaliation" only AFTER his opponent had become "aggressive." Huh.
"There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and always will."
What do YOU think? Was Thomas in the wrong?
