We sure hope this doesn't force her to go solo…
For the very first time in their history, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team will not be receiving a medal at the Summer Olympics following their historic loss to Team Sweden Friday afternoon.
Not only was this the first match to end in penalty kicks in the history of the Games, but the USWNT had never failed to make it to the finals since the tournament was founded in 1996 — let alone get eliminated in the quarter finals!

feared revered goalie Hope Solo was just a tad pissed about the surprise loss, and she really let her Swedish opponents have it in an interview with Sports Illustrated following the game.
Never one to be a sore loser, Hope referred to the winners as "a bunch of cowards," before getting even meaner, saying:
"The best team did not win today. I strongly believe that. I think you saw American heart. You saw us give everything we had today. They dropped into a 50. They didn't try and press. They didn't want to open the game. And they tried to counter with longballs. We had that style of play when Pia [Sundhage] was our coach. I don't think they're going to make it far in the tournament. I think it was very cowardly. But they won. They're moving on, and we're going home."
We understand being upset… but bashing your former coach of four years doesn't seem like very good sportsmanship to us.
Do U think Hope was offsides with her comments??
