We love us some Carpool Karaoke!
While the late night show is lighthearted and fun, Corden apparently had a fairly scary experience because of the bit — he was kidnapped by fans who wanted their own personal singing experience!
James was chatting with The Wrap about his recent Emmy nominations when he revealed the frightening experience, saying:
"I was crossing the street in London a few weeks ago and there were these four kids. They were like 18, 19. They sort of forced me to get in the car. They all had their camera phones out and we were just singing along to the radio. I was like, 'Am I being kidnapped?'"
We're not sure how much danger the late show host was in, but the situation sure sounds scary! We're just glad he's okay!
And that he knew all the words to Enter Sandman…
"They were so free in their discussion, and they were so open, and they had no care or time for thinking, 'Oh, how are people going to perceive it?' It was just they were exactly who they were, from start to finish, and I have to say the truth is I just found being in their company completely thrilling. I felt very, very lucky to have experienced such an intimacy with a band who I think have such a rich history and an incredible catalog of music."
The Brit, always in a positive mood, also talked about the aim of his show saying:
"We just always wanted our show to be a bit of levity at the end of people's day or when they're eating lunch or whatever. That they would be able to find our show 24 hours a day and find stuff there that would make them feel a little lighter."
Though the Late Late Show isn't currently on due to the Olympics, make sure you tune in when it returns August 22, 2016 at 12:37 a.m. EST on CBS. Also, don't forget to catch Britney Spears' Carpool sesh on the Aug 25!
