Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith — just like any other couple — have face many trials over their 19-year marriage.
So what's kept them together through thick and thin?
The 47-year-old actor credits marriage counseling for saving his relationship, and helping both him and Jada face their truths.
He told The Sun:
"I've done a lot of marriage counseling. What happens in a marriage once you do counseling, the truth comes out. And you sit across from your wife and you've said all of your truth and she has said all of her truth."

But the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum admits problems don't just disappear overnight:
"You look at each other and you can't imagine you could ever possibly love each other again now the truth is out. It creates a dark moment. But for me it's the dark before the dawn."
"When the truth comes out and people have to say who they are and what they think, you get to know who they are. I think that's the cleansing before you get to the other side that is understanding and moving forward in our relationship."
As you know, the couple shares two children Jaden, 18, and Willow, 15 — in addition to Will's son Trey, 23, from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino.
Even through rumors of divorce and an open relationship, the Concussion star appreciates his "magical" Queen Jada:
"Jada is magical. Part of why I love her is things happen in a way they shouldn't happen, they shouldn't go that way. She has this magical power."
Just like any relationship, a strong marriage requires lots of TLC — and we LOVE that these two continue to not give up on each other.
Good luck, Mr. and Mrs. Smith!
