While this isn't the first time the actress has opened up about her father's death, it's consistently inspiring to witness the 27-year-old speak about the event in such an eloquent and measured manner. We give this girl major props for her strength.

When Chelsea asked Z.W. what it was like to go through the tragedy in the spotlight, she replied:

"I didn't really grow up in the spotlight — we lived in San Francisco — so for me, we were already kind of together and close. And so I just kept going, ‘OK, well, today I'm going to get up and love what I do. And then tomorrow I'm going to wake up and be happy and love what I do. And then the next day … because that's all you can do."

What a mature response! It's clear Zelda is wise beyond her years.

The beauty went on to add:

"It was very funny because, for a while, no one would let me do anything. I think there's that reaction of like, ‘Oh, (expletive), are you OK?' And then even if you are OK, they're like, ‘Well, what's wrong?' For awhile, I was just kind of left to my own devices."

Well, it's a good thing Williams was left to her own "devices" considering she authored twelve scripts and landed a role on Dead of Summer in the process!
