With two Best Actress nominations in the bag, Sarah Paulson has a pretty solid chance at winning an Emmy next month!
The actress scored nods for playing prosecutor Marcia Clark on American Crime Story, and Hypodermic Sally on American Horror Story.
While Ryan Murphy's frequent collaborator isn't getting her hopes up too high come Emmy night, she will definitely be prepared if she's lucky enough to win!
Photos: TV Stars You'll Be Shocked Have NEVER Won An Emmy!
On Monday night at the Television Academy's Performers Peer Group Celebration, the 41-year-old said she will most likely write a speech to save herself from the risk of blanking out on stage if her name is called.
She told ET:
"I probably will write something only because I never have before, but then the last year when I went, so many people got up there with speeches, and some of the people have been up there a million times and they still get up there with speeches. And I thought, ‘It's probably the better way to do it' because I just fear I would get up there and white out and be like ‘bluehhheheh.'"
We can only imagine how terrifying speaking on that stage is to begin with, let alone trying to wing something humble yet inspirational!
Paulson is saving a few surprises for the big night, specifically who will be on her arm on the red carpet. She revealed girlfriend Holland Taylor "is not my date" to the awards show — maybe bringing an Emmy winner as a date is bad luck? Ha!
Video: AHS Teaser Connects All Seasons — But Does It Give Away The Theme?
Of course, the actress also kept quiet about the upcoming theme for the mysterious new season of AHS, but shut down the rumor that it centered around cult leader Charles Manson. She said:
"Wrong! You can look me dead in the eyes. You are wrong, dead wrong. And you will see that I am not lying to you. I'm not pulling a little Jedi mind trick. You're wrong!"
Ok, girl! We believe you! (Sort of…)
Catch Paulson in the return of AHS September 14 on FX and see if she wins the Emmy September 18 on ABC!
