Something smells fishy here…
On Tuesday, it was reported that Kesha may've never stood a chance in her case against Dr. Luke last April as the New York Supreme Court Justice who presided over the legal matter had ties to Sony and RCA. Wait, WHAT??
According to Page Six, judge Shirley Kornreich is married to a lawyer named Ed Kornreich — who just happens to be a partner at Proskauer Rose, a firm who has the record label as a client. Whoa.

In case you forgot, the Tik Tok singer took on Kemosabe Records (which was founded by Luke and is owned by Sony) when she attempted to snag an injunction bid to let her out of her contract after accusing the record producer of sexual and verbal assault. After failing to win the bid in February, the NY justice officially threw out the Die Young artist's case in April.
We're not sure it was entirely ethical for Kornreich to oversee this case if she was REALLY connected to all of the drama. And it seems we're not the only ones who think this, as one insider noted to the publication:
"There seems to be a strong conflict of interest."
Since this major legal blow, the songstress has withdrawn her California lawsuit against the industry vet. Oh, and the pop starlet has also dropped the abuse claims for her appeal in NY. Huh.
What do YOU think? Did Kesha ever stand a chance against Sony?
