Keke Palmer is SO fed up!
The Scream Queens star went on to rant:
Do NOT come for Jessica Alba's brand!
In a Thursday interview with the Today show, Jessica spoke out against claims surrounding the safety of the Honest Company's products. Alba's company has been under intense scrutiny ever since some customers criticized the effectiveness of its sunscreen, formula, diapers, and other items.
Now that numerous lawsuits have been filed against the brand, the actress felt it was time to publicly address the controversy. Better late than never, we guess!
"Our customers are savvy enough to do research and understand the integrity of our products. We stand by our ingredients, the effectiveness of the products, and we're pretty optimistic that we're going to win every case."
Wow! J.A. sounds really confident — we guess that's what being a #boss is all about!
Elaborating on the drama, the beauty reasoned:
"Obviously, we want our customers to have the best experience with our brand. If an organization wants to bring awareness to their cause, I'm an easy target and our brand is an easy target, obviously, because I get different kind of attention than other brands would. It's just sort of what happens."
Well, the 35-year-old wouldn't be the first celeb to come under fire for the sake of press and publicity!
The gorgeous gal went on to add:
"If I was in their position, I probably would try to put a spotlight on my cause, and there's no easier way than someone like me. It's just a headline, really, because when you look into any of it, they're baseless. There's no merit behind any of it."
Phew, we really hope Jess' defense is true. Considering the company markets itself mainly towards young children, there's absolutely no room for lies!
Despite the stress of the scandal, Alba is doing her best to maintain a positive attitude:
"If anything, it gives our customers an opportunity to speak out and get behind us, and we've grown tremendously over the last four and a half years. We've had a really positive effect on so many people's lives, and it's a dream come true because that's all I really wanted."
Aww! It's nice to see the mogul taking a measured and upbeat approach to the situation.
We'll keep you updated as these lawsuits get worked out!
