This week, Rory Feek took to YouTube to share a touching video of his late wife Joey Feek and their daughter Indiana Feek. The grieving dad also gifted fans with a second trailer for the To Joey With Love documentary, which will air in select theaters on September 20 and October 6.
While both videos are heartbreaking, the vid featuring the two-year-old is particularly hard to watch in light of Joey's death from cervical cancer in March. It's devastating to know the little girl will grow up without her momma by her side.
To introduce the video titled Indy, Mr. Feek penned a poignant blog post on how friends and family initially reacted to Indiana's down syndrome diagnosis.
Through the important message, the singer noted how Indy was "not a mistake" as some people have cruelly implied. It's clear the dad couldn't be more in love and happy with his little girl.
Speaking on the moving topic, Rory wrote:
"… everyone was anxious to hear how the birth had gone and how Joey and the baby were doing, and so in those first few days, I dialed and spoke to many close friends and family members and told them that it all went well, and then I told them how the doctors suspected that she has down-syndrome. And almost everyone said the same thing. 'I'm so sorry'. That's such a strange response to the birth of a child. Maybe they were just sensing the confusion in my voice or more likely, they didn't know what to say. I didn't and don't think anything negative about their responses. I probably would've said the same thing in their shoes. It's what society has told told them – told all of us… …awe, you didn't get a regular baby… you got something less… a burden that will last a lifetime. And I get it it. That's the messaging that is out there most I think. But it's wrong. At least I think it is. And I know Joey did too."
What wise words.

As for the documentary trailer, it depicts two years of the couple's lives — all the way from Indy's birth to Mrs. Feek's tragic death. It's truly an emotional yet beautiful ride.
