On Friday, the Loyal singer's attorney Mark Geragos addressed a packed media room about the A-lister's recent arrest. As you surely know, the controversial celeb was booked on Tuesday for an assault with a deadly weapon charge after he allegedly threatened a woman, named Baylee Curran, with a firearm. Eek!
Still, it seems Mr. Brown's legal expert believes the accusations are false as he noted that this isn't the first time Rihanna's ex has had false allegations made against him. Huh.
In fact, Mark claims Brown has been set up and defends that the cops didn't find any drugs or guns in Chris' home at the time of the arrest. Geragos explained:
"This so-called accuser described jewelry. But nothing was found that corroborated her statement. There was no gun or guns found in that house, whatsoever. There were no drugs whatsoever found in the house."
Hmm, go on! Apparently, the entire home was filmed by the cops during the search so if there was anything incriminating in the residence it would be documented on tape.
In regards to what Chris had to say on the matter, the attorney added:
"My client said nothing happened and this was a set up."
The high profile attorney went on to question the motives of Miz Curran as she allegedly has a relationship with the No Air artist's baby momma, Nia Guzman.
On Baylee's character, Mark slammed:
"Someone has an incident and is scarred and the first place you go is to TMZ rather than to a hospital? That speaks volumes."
Looks like Chris and his team are ready for a fight. Stay tuned for more details as this story is developing!
After the debate, the GOP nominee explained that he didn't mention the sex scandal for Chelsea Clinton's sake, telling reporters:
"I'm very happy that I was able to hold back on the indiscretions with respect to Bill Clinton. Because I have a lot of respect for Chelsea Clinton and I just didn't want to say what I was going to say."
