These two go way back, and now, they are closing ranks.

After Johnny Depp's divorce from Amber Heard amid endless controversy surrounding allegations of domestic violence, Depp's old friend Marilyn Manson has come forward in defense of the star.

Speaking in an interview with The Daily Beast that will soon be published in full, a teaser has Manson sharing some very strong words about his feelings for Johnny, and the rocker reveals this thoughts about the divorce (below):

"Lily-Rose is my goddaughter and I was there when [his son] Jack was born, so we go back. Johnny is one of the nicest people that I know—to the extent where it's almost heartbreaking how kind he is to his friends, and everyone around him. I know that he was completely crucified—unjustly."

Whoa!!

And Manson isn't playing around by saying that stuff, either.

He doubled down standing by Depp with more comments about how things ended between the Pirates of the Caribbean star and his ex-wife, Heard:

"I would stand by him on anything. As my friend, I know that he's handling it the best he can and he's a great Dad, too. It fills me with joy to see his kids grow up and be so smart, and so hilarious … Of course I think that all of it was bullshit, and I think that he is a great person. I wouldn't agree with any of it if someone were to put me on the stand and ask me what I know, or what I've witnessed."

Well there you go — Manson is not ashamed to defend Depp.

At this point, it's somewhat irrelevant, as all the legal battles have been weighed out and a joint statement between Heard and Depp leaves neither one culpable in any way.

But still, the court of public opinion keeps on churning, and today, Manson made his case against Heard.

Thoughts??
