UPDATE 12:48 EST: According to a Monday report from TMZ, the drugs found in the rapper's car were steroids and NOT illegal narcotics (AKA a controlled substance). The steroids in question belonged to Desiigner's driver. As of now, there's a good possibility the charges will dropped.

Well, things are getting slightly better for Desiigner.

The rapper was arrested yesterday on drug and weapons charges, but now, at least one of those BIG felony charges has been dropped!

According to TMZ, the D.A. in New York dropped the felony gun charge against the Panda singer after cops searched his SUV and couldn't find a gun.

The arrest, which was initially for felony possession of a loaded gun, had been based on reports the other driver involved in the road rage incident had given to cops, but the D.A. in the end didn't think there was enough there.

Furthermore, the D.A. also dropped a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell!

And yet things may not be great yet for Desiigner, who was arraigned in court this morning and is still facing a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance, and menacing.

It's unsure why that menacing charge is still live, considering it had been originally tied to him waving a gun around — which, as the D.A. just indicated with the other dropped charges, apparently didn't happen.

Regardless, it looks like the rapper has a court battle ahead of him.

Crazy!!
