This is truly horrifying.

Troy Whitaker, a 41-year-old man in Palm Harbor, Florida, dropped off his five-year-old daughter at school on Friday morning, and completely forgot that his son Lawson was also in the car.
Whitaker, who news reports allege thought he had dropped Lawson off at daycare and just forgot, then drove home to study for a test to become a firefighter.
At around 3:30 p.m. that afternoon, Whitaker took his dog for a walk and then got groceries before finally discovering his son in the back seat right behind the driver's seat.
By 4:30 p.m., when Whitaker finally found the boy, he attempted to give him CPR and called the police, but the child was blue, and not breathing. Temperatures apparently rose as high as 108 degrees in the car during the day.
