Fans were outraged when Christina Grimmie was left out of this year's In Memoriam segment at the Emmys.
During the 2016 ceremony, we remembered the TV stars we lost this year, as well as celebs like Muhammad Ali, Natalie Cole, David Bowie, and Prince.
However, the late Voice alum was absent from the montage.

After fans took to social media to complain, a spokesperson for the awards show explained why the singer didn't make it into the segment, telling Entertainment Tonight:
"As is the case each year with the Emmys, the In-Memoriam segment is constrained by time and space. Every year, the telecast producer is unfortunately limited by the time available and cannot include every significant person who has passed in the telecast In Memoriam; therefore, we note everyone in the industry on our website In Memoriam and during a simultaneous In Memoriam crawl on our Backstage Live streaming program."
What are your thoughts on this explanation, Perezcious readers?
