It's hard to imagine the Oscars without its jaw-dropping ending!
Sadly, this meant the comedian couldn't close the show with
Burke Ramsay has had ENOUGH!
As we reported last month, a lawyer for JonBenét Ramsey's family said they were going to sue CBS for airing The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey which blames the child beauty queen's murder on her older brother!
Fast forward to Thursday, Burke filed a lawsuit in Michigan, and its aimed at one of the leading investigators of the program, Dr. Werner Spitz!
Coincidentally, Spitz isn't being sued for what he said on the CBS special; he's being targeted for a radio interview he did with CBS Detroit where he claims Burke "bludgeoned her to death."
"Defendant Spitz made this accusation without ever examining JonBenét's body, without viewing the crime scene, and without consulting with the pathologist who performed the autopsy on JonBenét."
The Ramsey estate believes the forensic pathologist is a "publicity seeker" who "once again interjected himself into a high-profile case to make unsupported, false, and sensational statements and accusations."
According to the family's lawyer L. Lin Wood:
"The accusations by Werner Spitz against this young man are outrageous. Such false accusations have no place in an orderly society. This lawsuit is the first step to holding Spitz accountable for his wrongdoing."
Burke is asking for $150 million in damages.
