On Wednesday, a Los Angeles court found Derrick Rose NOT GUILTY in a civil rape trial involving his ex-girlfriend.
For those who don't know, Rose and two other men were accused of raping the accuser in August of 2013. The woman claimed the Knicks star and his two friends contaminated her alcoholic beverage and then proceeded to sexually assault her while she was unconscious.

As for Derrick, he admits he was in an open relationship with the woman for two years before breaking things off a few months before the alleged assault.
Despite the pair splitting up, the athlete decided to invite his ex and her friend over for a party in Beverly Hills. Once there, the woman and her friend quickly became intoxicated.
Now here's where things get tricky — somehow the group ended the night at the accuser's apartment. Both parties disagree as to how they got there, whether it was an invite or a break in.
Either way, the woman alleged she was gang raped at her home while the 28-year-old argues she initiated sex with all of the accused parties. The basketball pro also made a point to say how the supposed victim had actively pursued him following the breakup — he believes the whole evening was orchestrated by his ex for revenge.
Despite the woman claiming she was sexually assaulted that night, a jury ultimately decided her story was false based on text messages and other pieces of testimony. This means the accuser will not be awarded the $21.5 million dollars she had originally sought.
Luckily for Derrick and his friends, all charges of trespassing, sexually battery and battery were dropped.
So, are YOU surprised by this verdict?
