"I have posted tons of exercise videos working out in a public gym wearing athletic sports bras and yoga pants, but this time it was different. This video was the first video — I had yet to share my new body, my mommy-to-be body. This video showcased my new baby bump where my washboard abs used to be. I guess my six-month-pregnant belly was too much for Instagram to handle."
While the California trainer had one of her pre-pregnancy photos removed back in April, this was the first time her account had been shut down. She continued:
"I couldn't believe I was shut down for posting a bare belly pregnancy workout video. I didn't understand how my video was seen as violating Instagram's community guidelines of no ‘nudity.' "
Perille says that ever since announcing her pregnancy, she started getting more body shaming comments than ever before, adding:
"Pre-pregnancy I hadn't received many comments of body shaming… Now, being six months pregnant, I have received a handful of comments stating I am ‘too big,' ‘too pregnant' and ‘too out of shape' to be posting bare belly pics and workout videos."
The fitness buff believes that the harsh feedback is due to outdated beliefs about pregnant women and misconceptions of the physical capabilities they have, noting:
"So many people have been conditioned to think women are ‘out of shape' and handicapped while being pregnant. Being pregnant doesn't mean you have to be ashamed of your constantly changing growing body and it sure doesn't mean stopping all exercising my body was conditioned to do before getting pregnant."
Of course there's nothing wrong with taking it easy while growing a human inside you, but we think it's time to move on from the idea that pregnant women need to be bedridden and perpetually shrouded in maternity clothes.
Thankfully, Perille is back on IG and still rocking her fit pregnant bod! Watch the momma-to-be go to work (below)!
In the fiery post, Ms. Palmer believes Kylie changed her appearance to gain "society's affection" after fans repeatedly called her "ugly".
Not only does the actress feel this type of bullying is wrong, but she also finds the entire situation grossly ironic considering fans STILL trash the reality star for being fake. It's definitely a lose lose situation, right?!
