Ellen DeGeneres may be the queen of cracking jokes, but it turns out White House security is no laughing matter.
On Tuesday, as the talk show host arrived at President Barack Obama's stomping grounds to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the TV personality realized she didn't have any identification with her.

And while the funny lady's identity is undeniable — after all, her famous face is EVERYWHERE — security STILL turned her away, leaving the comedienne stranded on a bench outside.
Ellen took to Twitter to document the sad moment (above), captioning the silly shot:
"They haven't let me in to the White House yet because I forgot my ID. #NotJoking #PresidentialMedalOfFreedom"
Luckily, Miz DeGeneres was eventually allowed in to the historic house! To celebrate, the 58-year-old decided to take on the Mannequin Challenge alongside the event's other attendees!
Ch-ch-check it out (below)!
Robert De Niro, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks, and Michael Jordan are also receiving medals at the ceremony!
We're just glad Ellen was able to make it inside to receive hers! LOLz!
