Well, this is an inneresting development!
On Thursday, TMZ learned that Rio de Janeiro officials have offered Ryan Lochte a deal to make his false police report charge vanish.
For those of you who may not remember the lie heard around the world, the scandalized swimmer falsely claimed he had been robbed at gunpoint while in Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympics.

Law enforcement sources tell the tabloid that Rio officials proposed the DWTS alum pay 70,000 reals — AKA $20,149 — to make the criminal case go away.
Insiders explain the athlete has not yet agreed to the deal, but his teammate Jimmy Feigen accepted a similar offer back in August.
The Olympian's lawyer, Jeff Ostrow, stayed silent on the situation, telling TMZ:
"We don't comment on a pending case but are hopeful it will be resolved to the benefit of all parties, including the people of Brazil, the Brazilian government and Ryan."
