Everyone faces a battle no one knows about.
For Gigi Hadid, that's thyroid disease.
The 21-year-old may grace our magazine covers and walk down every runway, but because of her Hashimoto's disease she's unable to keep weight on — which can be tough, even for a supermodel.

Speaking to Elle at Reebok's #PerfectNever event on Wednesday, Kendall Jenner's bestie opened up about her health while talking about prepping for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show:
"My metabolism actually changed like crazy this year. I have Hashimoto's disease. It's a thyroid disease, and it's now been two years since taking the medication for it, so for the VS show I didn't want to lose any more weight, I just want to have muscles in the right place, and if my butt can get a little perkier, then that's good."
Miz Hadid went on to chat about maintaining her weight through her diet:
"I do like eggs, but all different ways. I loved baked eggs. I like tomato and bacon. There's a Middle Eastern spice called, zaatar, so I'll do eggs and zaatar. I love eggs! In general I like fresh ingredients. I'm not a salad and meat type of person; to me, that's boring. I also like making tomato soup from scratch with grilled cheese dippers on the side. If I can cook it with ingredients that I know are good, then I'll eat anything. Carbs, or whatever!"
Don't put us down for salad, either.
