Well this explains all of the house hunting.
It appears as though Donald Trump's desire to have daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner apart of his administration is seemingly now a reality. Yup, it looks as though Miz Trump is officially taking on some of the duties normally designated for the First Lady.
Of course, everyone believes this to be true as sources claim that Trump's transition aides are planning an Office of the First Family in the East Wing — which is famously where Michelle Obama's office is located. Well, well!
While Melania Trump is still expected to have some sort of presence in the White House, it's said Ivanka's position will be pretty prominent. Perhaps this decision has something to do with the fact Mrs. Trump reportedly wants to stay in New York to raise her son Barron? Who knows.
Not to mention, Ivanka's role may be a bit more influential as one source states the mother-of-three will serve as a Washington hostess AND an advisor to Drumpf. Nonetheless, the Trumpster's camp is being coy about the 35-year-old's unconfirmed role as Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks noted to CNN:
"No decisions have been made regarding Ivanka's role."
Huh. We have a feeing that the pesky federal nepotism law is causing a delay in the 70-year-old's appointment of Ivanka and/or her man. As you surely know, it's believed Kushner will get his own advisor position in the West Wing — especially since Donald's older sons Donald Jr and Eric Trump are retaining control of the Trump Organization's business operations.
Oh, and if you're hung up on the federal nepotism law, you should know the Kushners could work for the President-elect if they choose to forgo their paychecks.
What do YOU think? Are you shocked to learn Ivanka's taking over the East Wing?
