The 16 And Pregnant franchise has lost one of its stars.
On Thursday, it was revealed Valerie Fairman has passed away in what appears to be a drug overdose. She was only 23 years old.

The late reality TV personality's mother told TMZ Valerie was spending time at a friend's home in Coatesville, Pennsylvania on Wednesday right before her death. In fact, Fairman's mom shared that the MTV celeb's friend first suspected something was wrong when she called out for Valerie, who had stepped into the bathroom and not come out. It's said the unnamed pal broke down the door and found the mother-of-one unresponsive. How awful!
While the coroner is conducting a toxicology report to pinpoint the exact cause of death, it's believed an overdose is to blame for Val's passing. As you may recall, the young mom has had a lengthy history of drug use — a topic which was discussed during her appearance on 16 And Pregnant.
Prior to her death, Valerie had been arrested numerous times with charges including prostitution and resisting arrest.
Thankfully, Fairman's seven-year-old daughter Nevaeh is currently in the custody of her grandmother. Our thoughts are with Valerie's little girl and her other loved ones right now.
