George Michael's Family Is 'Touched Beyond Words' By The Love & Support They've Received After The Singer's Untimely Passing

George Michael's sudden passing must be so hard on his family.

However, the Wham! icon's loved ones are finding comfort during this tough time in all the support they've received since losing the 53-year-old.

After the singer tragically died from heart failure on Christmas Day, fans from around the world have shared their condolences and well-wishes.

And now, the late legend's publicist has issued a statement about just how much his friends and family appreciate the kind gestures, saying:

"The family and close friends of George have been touched beyond words by the incredible outpouring of love for him in the hours and days since his death."

The rep continued to applaud all the touching tributes, adding:

"For someone whose life was ultimately about his music and the love he had for his family and friends, his fans and the world at large, there could be no more fitting tribute than the many, many, kind words that have been said and the numerous plays his records have received.

She also addressed some rumors, and thanked fans for remembering the star:

"Contrary to some reports, there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and from the bottom of our hearts we thank those who, rightly, have chosen to celebrate his life and legacy at this most distressing of times."
