Wow.

On Wednesday, the world lost iconic actress Debbie Reynolds, after she suffered a fatal stroke at 84 years old. Her sudden death came just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, died from cardiac arrest.

Sadly, the acclaimed star seemed to predict this grim tragedy in her 2013 autobiography Unsinkable.

In the book, the Singin' In The Rain leading lady opened up about the possibility of losing a child, admitting it was the one thing that scared her the most:

"It's not natural to outlive your child. This has always been my greatest fear."

The Unsinkable Molly Brown alum went on to express that she thought such a huge heartbreak might even kill her, adding:

"Too many mothers have lost their children, for thousands of different reasons. I don't know if I could survive that."

In light of recent events, these words are both spooky and tear-jerking at the same time. Our hearts are aching for Debbie and Carrie's family. We can't imagine what they must be going through right now.

Rest in peace you two.
