And no, we're not talking about the Republicans. As you may recall, on Sunday, the Florence Foster Jenkins actress SLAMMED Donald Trump as she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award. However, during her speech, the A-lister accidentally shaded the football and mixed martial arts communities when she stated that the sports were "not the arts."
"Hollywood is a bunch of people from other places, crawling with outsiders and foreigners, so if you kick them all out, you'll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts."
While M's quip was obviously made in jest, Scott Coker (AKA the president of Bellator MMA) clearly took the dig personally as he commented on the shade on Twitter. Rather than having a hissy fit, like our President-elect, Mr. Coker invited the award-winning star to an MMA fight.
As a martial artist and an MMA promoter, here is my open letter and #Bellator170 invite to the very talented #MerylStreep #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/zostN22RAK

Honestly, what a smart PR move! Although, we doubt Meryl will ACTUALLY take Scott up on his offer.
But hey, it's her loss as the match specified (above) will feature seasoned fighters Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen. Can we get Meryl's tickets if she passes on the fight? LOLz!
