We're rolling our eyes SO hard right now.
On Wednesday, Donald Trump gave his first press conference since being elected as the next president of the United States.
Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of disturbing moments, but the most out-of-control was probably Trump labeling trusted news organization CNN as "fake news" while fighting with their senior White House correspondent, Jim Acosta. The president-elect even REFUSED to take the journalist's questions!
As we previously reported, an example of actual "fake news" would be #PizzaGate. In that case, a site completely fabricated a story about Hillary Clinton running a pedophile ring out of a Washington, D.C. pizza parlor – a ludicrous allegation which led to a man attempting to shoot up the accused establishment.
Take a look at the disturbing moment (below)!
Ugh. This type of behavior is SO damaging to the free press.
The successful politician/failed businessman also slammed Buzzfeed News as a "failing pile of garbage" for publishing a report suggesting he hired prostitutes for golden showers and is being blackmailed by Russia with video evidence of these encounters:
Obviously, the statement about Buzzfeed is simply untrue — the organization continues to be extremely popular.
Interestingly, unsuccessful seems like the President-elect's go-to attack as he tried the same tactic with "failing" Vanity Fair despite its drastic increase in readers in 2016. We guess failure seems worse to Trump than dishonesty.
So, what do YOU think of Donald's interactions with the press?
