What an important and fulfilling day for Angelina Jolie, her family, and the nation of Cambodia.

Jolie premiered First They Killed My Father in the Asian country yesterday, and it was a family affair, with her children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne joining the major event!

Maddox — and young Shiloh — even spoke at the movie premiere, which proved to be an emotional look at a very important point in Cambodian history.

Speaking in front of the country's king, Norodom Sihamoni, and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, Jolie got real about the film, the Cambodian people, and her own role in the production of this important piece of art:

"I cannot find words to express what it means to me that I was entrusted with telling part of the story of this country. This film was not made to focus on the horrors of the past, but to celebrate the resilience, kindness and talent of the Cambodian people. Most of all, this film is my way of saying thank you to Cambodia. Without Cambodia I may never have become a mother. Part of my heart is and will always be in this country. And part of this country is always with me: Maddox."

Awww!!!

That is so meaningful, and it proved the perfect time for Maddox to step to the mic, too.

He said:

"Thank you everyone for attending tonight. We finally made it. It's a great honor to present this film to all of you, and to stand by my mother and my family. And now I'd like to introduce my little sister Shiloh, as she has something to say."

Oh?! And what does ten-year-old Shiloh have to tell us?

She very simply dropped it on the people at the event:

"My name is Shiloh and I love Cambodia."

Too cute!!

An important film that goes over an important piece of Cambodia's history, and Jolie also made it a memorable family affair. Love it!!!
