Future has truly buried his beef with Ciara!
As you may recall, the former flames were embroiled in quite the feud after calling off their engagement in 2014. Not only did they hit each other with a bunch of lawsuits, but they also went head-to-head in a nasty custody battle over son Future Zahir. After releasing numerous songs which alluded to his baby momma drama with the Ride singer, the hitmaker has finally put all of that drama behind him.

In fact, it seems as though the A-lister is now simply looking to the ~future~ (STAHHHPP, you know we couldn't not make that pun). The Georgia-born artist even opened up about how he found peace with his ex for the cover story of Billboard.
While chatting with the mag, Future dished:
"I feel like everything happened for a reason. I'm happy with life now. I'm happy with life, period, even with the end of a relationship being…"
The record producer trailed off for a bit before coming back and firmly stating:
"I'm just not going to settle for anything, you know? Even in my life now, I know I can be a better person. I ain't giving up on myself, so if you give up on me, I ain't got nothing else to say for you. Because if you give up on something that's real, it wasn't real to you."
Hmmm, very inneresting. And it looks like Future is standing by this sentiment as he references his romantic past on his new LP, HNDRXX. On his opening track, My Collection, Future raps:
"If we never speak again I'm just glad I got to tell you the truth…She told me she was an angel/She fucked two rappers and three singers."
Harsh. Although, the 33-year-old isn't blameless in his failed relationships as he noted during the song Sorry:
"Ain't really mean to hurt you/ Sorry it has to be this way/ Ain't mean to desert you/ Sorry that it looks that way."
On these specific lyrics, the artist defended that he isn't going to censor himself when it comes to his love life. He added:
"I'm opening you up to where I'm at. It's about being vulnerable and not so cautious about what you say as far as your love life—if you was hurt or happy or in love."
We're about it. And Future is determined to integrate his personal life into his music as he concluded:
"Use everything around you to create: good, bad, negative, whatever it is. Never be afraid to be exactly who you are."
Hear, hear! We're glad to see how far Future's come these last few years.
