Forget Lion King, we want a Lion Queen!
On Thursday, it was reported that Beyoncé is the front runner for the role of Nala in Jon Favreau's live action remake of The Lion King. SLAYYYYYY!

Although Queen Bey hasn't accept the role yet, it's said the Formation singer is Favreau's first choice. If Jay Z's wife takes on the role of Nala, the A-lister would play Donald Glover's love interest as he's already been cast as Simba. Not to mention, industry vet James Earl Jones is returning to lend his voice for the character Mufasa. Talk about a powerhouse cast!
Now no release date has been announced for the flick, but it's believed the movie is being fast tracked to the big screen. The success of Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast probably has something to do with that!
We honestly think Bey would be the perfect choice to play the leading lioness, especially since the film is planning on keeping the songs from the original animated movie. And while the superstar's pregnancy is giving us doubts that she'll take on the role, the studio and the director are reportedly willing to do "whatever it takes" to accommodate Beyoncé's schedule. As they should!
What do YOU think? Should Bey play Nala??
