Bill Cosby's Daughter Says The Defamed Actor Is NOT 'A Rapist' In New Essay

At least one woman is sticking by Bill Cosby's side amid his sexual assault trial.

As the tainted comedy legend broke his silence on Wednesday to reveal he is now completely blind, his youngest daughter Evin penned an emotional essay defending the controversial entertainer.

In an essay published on the NNPA Newswire, the 40-year-old fashion designer said her father "loves and respects women" and is "not abusive, violent, or a rapist."

This defense comes weeks ahead of the 79-year-old's trial on June 5, where he faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting Andra Constand in 2004.

Cosby pleaded not guilty to the charges and has denied similar claims from over 50 women.

But according to his daughter, the famed TV dad just hasn't been able to tell his side of the story, because "the media is only interested in the stories of the women." She explained in her essay:

"The public persecution of my dad, my kids' grandfather, and the cruelty of the media and those who speak out branding my father a ‘rapist' without ever knowing the truth and who shame our family and our friends for defending my dad makes all of this so much worse for my family and my children."

Evin acknowledges that her dad "had his affairs" after being "tempted by opportunity," but people shouldn't be labeling him a "rapist" when they "don't know the truth."

Evin then contradicted her very own words when she spoke on how the victims' "stories didn't match up," making her father — who admitted to giving quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with — seem like the victim.

She continued:

"Two years ago, and over 10 years later, several women came out. Like the woman from 2005, they claimed to have been raped and drugged. But, like the one from 2005, their stories didn't match up. Instead of going through the criminal justice system, these stories never got investigated and just got repeated. They have been accepted as the truth. My dad tried to defend himself. His lawyers tried to defend him, but they all got sued."

Evin went on to say that anyone who has tried to defend the comedian has been silenced, adding:

"People were constantly reaching out to me about why doesn't your dad say something. I kept saying he's trying, but the media is only interested in the stories of the women. Friends of ours tried to help, but the media wouldn't print what they said or knew."

For the record, Cosby himself conducted an interview with the NNPA published the same day, and refused to comment about the allegations.

Instead, he spoke about how he misses performing and hopes to resume his career (presumably after the dust settles on all these pesky accusations.) Hey, stranger things have happened to alleged assaulters…

What do U think about Evin's strong words?
