What a nightmare.

As we've reported, an attack by a suicide bomber in England left at least 22 dead and 59 injured at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on Monday night. One victim is said to be as young as eight years old.

In light of the tragic news, both Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May have made public statements responding to the horrific act of terrorism.

Speaking from his first foreign trip as POTUS, Trump called the people behind the attack "evil losers":

"So many young, beautiful, innocent people living and enjoying their lives, murdered by evil losers. I won't call them monsters because they would like that term, they would think that is a great name. I will call them, from now on, losers because that's what they are: losers. Just remember that."

A statement from the White House expressed the United States' support to the people of the United Kingdom:

"The two leaders agreed that this attack — which targeted teenage children and their friends at a joyous event — was particularly wanton and depraved. The president reassured the prime minister that Americans stand with the people of the United Kingdom and that our resolve will never waiver in the face of terrorism. He offered American aid in the United Kingdom's investigation and vowed to continue the mutual fight against terrorism."

Similarly, May made an address following the "appalling" bombing, saying:

"All acts of terrorism are cowardly attacks on innocent people but this attack stands out for its appalling, sickening cowardice, deliberately targeting innocent, defenseless children and young people who should have been enjoying one of the most memorable nights of their lives…We struggle to comprehend the warped and twisted mind that sees a room packed with young children not as a scene to cherish but as an opportunity for carnage."

May and her upcoming opponent Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the opposition Labour Party, have since decided to suspend campaigning for the June 8 election until further notice.
