Quentin Tarantino is eating his words, and rightfully so.

The Django Unchained director may be proud of the words he's written, but what he said in a 2003 Howard Stern interview he will not defend.

In case you missed it, in the recently unearthed episode he defended Roman Polanski, saying his 13-year-old rape victim "wanted to have it" and that it was statutory but "not rape."

The victim, Samantha Geimer, now 54, has already publicly forgiven the filmmaker, saying she's sure he "realizes now that he was wrong."

He does.

Tarantino reached out to Geimer by phone to apologize personally and released a public apology letter to IndieWire on Thursday as well, writing:

"I want to publicly apologize to Samantha Geimer for my cavalier remarks on "The Howard Stern Show" speculating about her and the crime that was committed against her. Fifteen years later, I realize how wrong I was. Ms. Geimer WAS raped by Roman Polanski. When Howard brought up Polanski, I incorrectly played devil's advocate in the debate for the sake of being provocative. I didn't take Ms. Geimer's feelings into consideration and for that I am truly sorry.

So, Ms. Geimer, I was ignorant, and insensitive, and above all, incorrect.

I am sorry Samantha."

Do YOU think his apology is sincere??

Frankly, it's more difficult for us to believe anyone thought something so foolish and callous in the first place!
