The Weeknd certainly knows how to bare his broken soul via song.

As you surely know, late on Thursday evening, the Starboy singer released his latest album, titled My Dear Melancholy. While fans were thrilled to just have new music by the the hitmaker (whose government name is Abel Tesfaye), it didn't take long for them to notice there was MAJOR tea in this new album.

Yup, it appears that Abel's latest musical effort is inspired quite a bit by his failed romance with Selena Gomez. Ooooo, go on!!

The most notable Selena-inspired track would have to be Call Out My Name, where Tesfaye sings about comforting a broken lover. He croons:

"We found each other/I helped you out of a broken place/You gave me comfort/But falling for you was my mistake"

Eyebrows were further raised, when the Canadian born chart topper made reference to Gomez's kidney transplant. From the lyrics, it sounds like the 28-year-old considered donating his kidney to save his now former flame:

"I said I didn't feel nothing baby, but I lied/I almost cut a piece of myself for your life/Guess I was just another pit stop/Til' you made up your mind/You just wasted my time/You're on top"

We're guessing this shade has something to do with the fact that, shortly after their breakup made headlines, the former Disney darling was seen spending quality time with her ex, Justin Bieber.

Abel seemingly sang about Selena once more, only this time in the track Privilege. In regards to his high profile split from the actress turned pop star, The Weeknd shared:

"Enjoyed your privileged life/‘Cause I'm not gonna hold you through the night/We said our last goodbyes/So let's just try to end it with a smile/And I don't want to hear that you are suffering/You are suffering no more/‘Cause I held you down when you were suffering/You were suffering"

Huh. Looks like Abel wasn't thrilled at Jelena's reunion — and, tbh, he wasn't alone in that feeling.

Nonetheless, Selly G wasn't the only ex that gave inspo for My Dear Melancholy. In his anthem, Wasted Times, The Weeknd sings that he's been reminiscing about an ex while in the arms of someone else:

"Wasted times I spent with someone else/ She wasn't even half of you/ Reminiscin' how you felt/ Reminiscin' how you felt / And even though you put my life through hell/ I can't seem to forget ’bout you, ’bout you/ I want you to myself"

Now, we doubt this is about Selena, as later on Tesfaye reference how the ex in question was an "equestrian." In case you forgot, the musician's other high profile ex Bella Hadid was forced to give up her riding career due to her Lyme disease. And let's not forget about Bella and Abel's little reunion after he and Selena split!

Well, well. Regardless, we can't blame The Weeknd for baring his soul, as they do say write what you know!!!
