We knew we loved Selena Gomez for a reason!!
Well, a lot of reasons!
But one of the many reasons Selena is awesome is that she came out in full force over the weekend with some friends to hang out at the 2013 El Lay Gay Pride Festival! Not only that, but she was also being supportive of one of her bestiez, Kat Deluna, who performed on the main stage!
Selenita dressed a bit hipstery in a sleeveless denim blouse, some top-rimmed glasses and black leggings. Oh, and we can’t forget the stunning pop of red lipstick on her precious pout!
So adorbs!!
She was posted up on the side of the stage in a chair amongst her friends, and Kat tried to convince her to Come And Get It dance up on stage with her during her performance!! Sadly, Gomez refused.
Awww but Selener, dancing is FUN!!!! LOLz, maybe next time!

We already know Prince Harry does what he can to defend women and children.
And it turns out he's even a hero to soldiers!
Retired Trooper James Wharton has released a book about his experience as a gay man serving in the military. For the most part, he found it much more comfortable being himself.
But one night, a few ignorant soldiers threatened him with violence! So James did what he was trained to do- he reported it to his commanding officer. His Tank Commander just happened to be Prince Harry of Wales! James says:

As if we needed more proof that Jason Collins is awesome!!!
The NBA big man, who became the first active athlete to come out of the closet, showed just how proud of his sexuality he is as he marched at the Boston gay pride parade this weekend!
Jason showed up with his college roommate and Massachusetts congressman Joe Kennedy and wore a Nike t-shirt with a rainbow-colored hashtag that read "#BETRUE."
The basketball previously admitted that both his college buddy and the gay pride parade played big roles in helping him come out, saying:

There seems to be a preconceived notion that children raised in families with gay parents are less happy, or don't do as well in life as children with straight parents.
But new research is starting to dispel those notions!
Not only are children with gay parents happy and normal, but many are actually healthier and are closer to their family than many children from "normal" families.

“I know my own truth. I'm in a great relationship with a woman. Maybe before it used to bother me. Then I was like, ‘This is so stupid that this bothers me. Some of my best friends in the world are gay, and if this is bothering me, then that means I have an issue with that.’ Once I figured that out for myself, I thought, ‘I don't care what anyone thinks about me.’ That's why I think I've become an ally for the gay and lesbian community. I just got [an Ally for Equality Award] the other day in Atlanta. I've very proud of my role in the community. So say what you will.”

Guess Rihanna isn’t her only enemy now…
West Hollywood gay bar, The Factory, has filed a lawsuit against Ciara, claiming that she reportedly ditched their LA Pride Week event just four days before its scheduled date.
The suit allegedly states that Ciara received $10,000 to appear at the Factory’s June 7th event, the night before her 2013 LA Pride parade performance on the 8th.
The singer apparently backed out of her gay bar performance due to restrictions in her agreement with LA Pride. She is now being sued for the the original $10,000 payment and the money the club will be losing given her last minute no-show status.
This just seems excessive. Can’t she just make an appearance and call it a night? No need for all this legal mumbo jumbo!

Do NOT interrupt the first lady. Ever.
As it happens, Michelle Obama was in the middle of her 20-minute speech at a Democratic fundraiser in Washington D.C. tuesday when a gay-rights activist reportedly decided to butt in and speak her mind.
The heckler, later identified as Ellen Sturtz, a member of the GetEQUAL campaign group, demanded that President Obama sign an executive order in favor of federal equality.
Of course, Michelle didn’t just brush this off. She walked directly up to the protester and said:
