Is Hayden Panettiere's daddy screwed?

He's getting the book thrown at him - and rightfully so!

Prosecutors charged the Heroes star's poppa, Alan, with misdemeanor battery on Thursday for allegedly beating down his wife and H's mommy, Leslie.

Daddy Panettiere's arraignment is scheduled for October. He faces up to a year in a Los Angeles County jail if convicted.

We wonder how far the case will get very far, though.

Immediately after the domestic violence incident, the Panettiere's appeared on the show Extra and said that it was all one big 'misunderstanding'.

Has Leslie changed her tune? Did she find the strength to face down the douchebag abuser?

And it's time for damage control!

The parents of Heroes star Hayden Panettiere are trying to calm down the media reports of her dad being the woman hitter that he is.

Now, her parents, Alan (Skip) and Leslie, are talking to Extra about Skip's arrest yesterday on suspicion of felony spousal abuse.

According to police reports, Skip hit Lesley three times.

She was even the one who called the cops on her husband and was found visibly bruised on the face.

But now the "loving" couple are denying what happened.

They claim, "It was all a big misunderstanding" and state that "nothing actually happened."

Apparently, "Leslie wasn't even aware that Skip had been arrested."

Oh, and that they "love each other very much and want everyone to know that the matter was completely blown out of proportion."

As for Hayden, she reportedly found out about her arrest when daddy called her from jail.

He probably needed bail money!

Skip was later released from jail on $50,000 bail.

We sense a reality TV show coming up in the Panettiere's future!

There's never an excuse to hit a lady!

A new report claims that the parents of star Hayden Panettiere were both drunk when domestic violence erupted at their home early Monday morning.

Daddy Alan allegedly struck momma Leslie at least twice with his fist — a right cross to the left cheek, causing noticeable bruising.

We hope dad will be getting some therapy when he gets out of jail!

It was mom who called the police and told them to arrest her husband.

Is a divorce upon us???

Hitting a woman is never acceptable!

And, that's exactly what Hayden Panettiere's father, Alan, is being accused of.

The Heroes star's dad was arrested earlier today, at 3:00 A.M. on Monday morning, on allegations of spousal abuse.

Mom Leslie accused Alan of striking her in the face and she was seen to have visible injuries, which police documented.

The violence erupted, according to Leslie, because Alan accused her of "disrespecting" him by being too chummy with a fella at some Hollywood soiree on Sunday evening.

And you hit your wife over that??? Unacceptable!

Call her a slut and storm out of the house, but don't hit her.

Poppa Panettiere is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

The Heroes star's dad was busted at 3:00 A.M. today and taken to police custody, where he currently remains.

An unidentified (for now) victim sustained "minor injuries."

First Nikki Blonsky's dad and now THIS???

Update: The victim is indeed Leslie Panettiere.

Alan is being accused of striking her in the face early early this morning.

Oh. My. Goody goodness!!!

Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia kept their romance under wraps for a long time, but now that they've gone public, they're planning to take it to the next level, reportedly.

According to In Touch, Hayden went house-hunting with her mom, Leslie Panettiere, this past weekend to purchase her own place.

Girlfriend wants to get out of the family home and have a love shack she and Milo can nest in.

Halo have only been dating a few months.

A sources tells In Touch, “Hayden and her mom looked at several condos, mostly in the Beverly Hills area," says the source. “Hayden really wants her own place."

The source also mentions that Milo wants to stay with her. He's apparently so "smitten" with her.

We don't know about them moving in together, at least not full-time. That seems like a bit of an exaggeration from the mag's part.

But, she's one step closer to being Mrs. Ventimiglia. That is until they break up in a few months. She IS 18. Eighteen! And he IS 30!
