Shipping heiress Athina Onassis (de Miranda) has decided to sell more than 40 expen$ive pieces of jewelry owned by her late mother, Christina, who died when she was three.
Jacqueline Kennedy was married to Athina’s gramps, Greek gazillionaire Aristotle.
The jewellery collection has an estimated value of $16 million and is being auctioned on Wednesday.
It is on public show at Christie’s in London today, Tuesday.
The sale is prompted not by a lack of money. Athina inherited a fortune estimated at $2 billion.
Apparently, Athina doesn’t think the jewels fit her lifestyle. Girl is a profesh equestrian based in Brazil.
What???? Why not????
Add some bling to your riding hat, biyatch!
Experts argue that the sale is bound to attract further criticism that she has no respect for her family’s past.
Some things available for purchase by rich people include a pear-shaped 38-carat diamond estimated at up to $4.4 million and a ruby and diamond necklace by Van Cleef and Arpels, expected to make up to $80,000.
Why didn’t she just give the stuff to a museum?????
