Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin may lose her Detroit mansion to the taxman.

The property is worth $700K.

Franklin owes a total of $19,192 in back taxes on the property through 2007. That’s not too much money. We hope she’s liquid!

The Queen says she plans to pay up by a March 31 deadline. But, note, it was a $445 outstanding bill from the 2005 tax season that pushed the foreclosure proceedings.

What’s the world coming to? Can’t have the Queen lose her digs!

Thankfully (for him), Michael Jackson didn’t lose Neverland.

If things get bad for Aretha, maybe Tina Turner will let Aretha crash at her castle in Europe.
