According to the son of Mike Wallace, the veteran 60 Minutes newsman is recovering a-OK from a recent fall that scared the docs who were watching his recovery post triple bypass surgery.
Doctors hospitalized him, explained the younger Wallace, because he’s on a blood thinner and they wanted to make sure “that he didn’t bleed out.”
Though Wallace’s heart “is working just fine” the news legend is done with TV at the age of 90.
Wallace’s son reports, “His plans are to be healthy enough to go up to Martha’s Vineyard for the summer. And since I spend two weeks with him every year, I said to him, in terms of his rehab, ‘Don’t screw it up, because you’re going to wreck my vacation.'”
Uhmmm, you should be thinking about more important things besides your “vacation” – douche!
