Despite being hosted by (or because of?) Miley Cyrus, this year’s Teen Choice Awards was up a whopping 73% from last year in the 12-17 age demo. This year├óΓé¼Γäós show aired three weeks earlier than last year, in order to avoid the Olympics and political conventions.

It also marked the biggest showing in four years in their key 12-17 demo.
We’re going to credit the Jonas Brothers and the cast of Gossip Girl for the surge.
We’re sure a slew of yougins tuned in to see all the cute boys.
Plus, most kids haven’t started school again yet. NOW would be a good time to have the awards show again next year!
