Iconic tv shows One Life to Live and All My Children moved from network television to online-only viewing earlier this year in an attempt to combat cancellation...

But it seems the plan is not working out too well, as both shows' parent company Prospect Park is cutting down new episodes aired posted per week from 4 to 2!

Could this mean the death of both beloved Soap Operas is right around the corner? Well, perhaps not!

The reasoning behind the episode elimination is actually quite clever, as Prospect Park heads Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz revealed in a statement:

"In the past these shows had their vast majority of views within the first 24 hours. Instead, our shows are primarily consumed on different days then when they originally air. Primarily, fans have been binge-viewing or watching on demand, and as a result, we feel we have been expecting our audience to dedicate what has turned out to be an excessive amount of time to viewing these shows. ... We are finding that asking most people to regularly watch more than a half hour per day online seems to be too much.

We know our most dedicated viewers will be upset as they would probably prefer more shows to less (we personally wish there were more episodes of our favorite shows; we would love 50 episodes a year of Homeland, Mad Men or The Simpsons). We apologize to these viewers and ask them to please understand we are trying to ensure our shows succeed and not meet the fate they experienced previously. We need to devise a model that works for all viewers. When it comes to online, as with all new technology, it's adapt or fail."

In the new age of binge viewing, people have the freedom to be VERY selective with their content selection, and providing too much NEW stuff could be overwhelming... hopefully this new plan works!

We wonder if this will affect Susan Lucci's decision to (maybe) return to All My Children?

Dave Franco has been desperately trying to forge his own path in the entertainment world, and is both grateful for James Franco’s guidance and frustrated that most people merely see him as an extension of his older brother.

In a recent interview, he spilled on being the younger sibling of an Oscar-nominated Hollywood big shot:

“It’s been a blessing and a curse. At first, James helped me get a manager, which I don’t take for granted. It’s a big thing. But then, no one’s going to hire me just because I’m James’ little brother—I have to prove myself! I respect him so much, but I want to carve my own path. I don’t want to be known as James Franco’s little brother for the rest of my life. I have since noticed a slight change. At least half the people I meet now know me as Dave, which is fine. I’m slowly getting to the point where I can be my own person.”

As difficult as it may be for Dave at times, we think the hottie will probably break away from his brother’s image sooner than later. His upcoming lead role in Now You See Me should be a great start!!

Paris Hilton watched Sofia Coppola's Bling Ring movie while hanging out at Cannes, a movie that is based on real life events that left Paris ROBBED of stuff worth thousands of dollars...

And it seems the reenactment was just TOO real for Paris to deal with!

Paris shared:

"I was really emotional watching it. During some parts of it, I literally had tears in my eyes and I wanted to cry. I knew what happened with the burglaries, but I had never actually seen it — so watching it happen, I was like, 'Oh my God, this really happened to me. These kids were really in my house and did this to me.' It's so violating. It just made me really angry and upset, and when I see these kids, I want to, like, slap them.."

Paris actually let Sofia film the thievery scenes in her REAL home, which apparently, was kinda fun to watch.

She elaborated:

"I designed everything in the house, so it was really cool to see it on film. That house is like my dream house. I worked so hard on every detail."

But does the socialite have any sympathy for the young burglars?

Paris stated:

"No way! Well, I actually kinda felt bad for the guy, because I feel like he didn't want to steal the clothes and all that stuff, really. He just wanted to be cool and fit in with that girl. So I mostly blame the main girl. I don't know her name. But her."

While it had recently been rumored that Hawkeye was being recast in the Avengers sequel, it looks like Jeremy isn't going ANYWHERE!

Our sources tell us that the recasting rumors are completely untrue and that he will indeed return to the silver screen as Hawkeye! Phew!

And, though it had been reported that some comments Jeremy made pissed off the execs over at Marvel, we're told he's still "very much a part of the Marvel family."

Not only that, but it sounds like we can expect to see Renner in the upcoming installments!!

This weekend just got SO much better...!!!

However, while Jay is absolutely saying farewell to NBC, Adam Sandler decided it was the PERFECT opportunity to give his bud some (unsolicited) advice.

And let us tell you, Adam is just FULL of wisdom.

During his visit to the late night show, the veteran comedian suggested Jay simply move to Fox!

Adam said:

"You’re thinking about relaxing and I have a good idea for what Jay should do. Don’t you think he should just take it easy, enjoy, breathe, maybe go to Fox, do a show at 11:00 PM, maybe that kind of thing?"

Marvel President Kevin Feige says the show must go on, with or without its signature star. He says:

"I believe there will be a fourth Iron Man film and a fifth and a sixth and a 10th and a 20th.
