I don't think she is retarded. Seriously. I think it's a combination of a pretty thick accent, possibly having braces, scrunching up her face a lot, and generally being physically awkward.
I went to school with a lot of Asian kids who looked and sounded a great deal like Tina, and none of them were retarded–in fact a lot of them were incredibly bright and talented, but just had a hard time speaking clearly because of an accent. Anyway accents fade over time, so maybe in a good long while she'll speak more clearly.
It kind of makes me laugh, all the people saying we shouldn't laugh at her b/c she is retarded, but in fact she is probably going to end up at Harvard, getting all A's and singing and dancing really poorly…It's kind of worse to keep saying she's retarded than to laugh at her, because she's definitely not retarded.
