Janet is and will always be a revolutionary in the entertainment business. It is very disappointing that the last four years have brought a dark shadow to an otherwise hitmaking career. Before the new musicians have entered into the ring, the trailblazer of Janet Jackson rose to the top of the charts with introspective songs, cutting edge music videos, and a stage show that will outlast any of the "stars" of today. It is nice to hear her back and in charge - I for one will be supporting "Feedback" and the new project. Hopefully, others will get on board and see that being in the buisness of show for over 25 years is a major feat. Go On Miss Janet!

Janet's last few projects have been way too cookie-cutter; just a repackaging of "Janet" (circa 1993) over and over again. Even her stage show has been more or less the same thing retooled. For her sake, I hope this latest project has a completely new, and different, vibe. I mean, how many ways can you rewrite a song about domestic violence? Anyway, the new song is a little Brittney-esque, but it's not bad. I'll reserve judgment until I hear another cut from the new release.

This song is all about technology and fluff beats than talent of any kind. Sure, it has a groove factor and will resonate with clubs and radio for a fleeting few weeks in time, but the world needs more artists like Christina Aguilera, Michael Buble or (despite her personal traumas) Amy Winehouse–individuals with clear talents who use them moreover and who push the envelope in their respective genres. Take back to basics…somehow, in the era of Fergie and Beyonce, Christina was able to put a genuine, modern spin on a retro style and era of music–and nailed it! The album showcases her stunning voice, artisic vision and fearlessness and subsequent staying power. Bitch is gonna be salient in 2050.. singing live and killing! Some "feedback" for Janet and the entourage of this-second sell-outs: treat music like the form of artistic expression it is supposed to be and make music with authenticity. We are sick of everything sounding the same! Sure, we may shake our asses to your songs for 4 minutes, but, in the grand scheme of things, that is about how long we will remember them as well. Do something different and worth remembering!
