The legendary Brit wrote the music for the show.

    Have been a fan since "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album in 73…have seen him in concert numerous times, including a fabulous "Single Man" concert in Oxford, England in 1979. Small theater, just he and the piano and a few members of his band. I was 16 and got tickets through a friend who scored them at the last minute. We had amazing seats. It was lovely. And glad to see he still has his original English teeth! But oh Perez, please don't even begin to compare yourself to Sir Elton.

    "Benny and the Jets" is the greatest pop song ever, or one of them. IMO. And in other people's opinions, too. (I assume) If there's one greatest thing about being a kid and not on drugs yet and interested in sex, which is to say, girls, (or the idea of it) in 1973, it is that song. How strange. How perfect. How insignificant, almost invisible, ignored, presumed and omnipresent. The sky, the sun, riding your bike, Benny and the Jets… Vile disgusting Pigs. Art is his fingerprints. Opening a door but a side door, of a closet, where all of life, love, nature and fun was stored. When art became a 45 rpm frisbee, dangerous, well… not really. Not serious. Pretty… Yes.
