Amy Winehouse makes suicide pact with husband
The Rehab singer, who is set to be questioned by police over husband Blake Fielder-Civil's charges of assault and allegedly perverting the course of justice, could face prison if she is linked to the conspiracy to clear Blake.
Amy has reportedly vowed to kill herself if she is parted from her husband by a lengthy jail sentence.
A source is quoted as saying: "Amy has had her problems but she is really teetering on the brink.
She has hatched a suicide pact with Blake. If they are both handed lengthy jail sentences she is determined they will end it together rather than face five years apart.
"She can't live without Blake and her family are worried sick. This could finish her off. She isn't strong enough for prison life."
Amy must present herself for questioning this week. She will be finger-printed and asked to give DNA samples, as police reportedly believe she may be linked to crucial documents seized after
Blake was arrested.
A police source said: "This is a very significant development in the investigation."
Barman James King was allegedly offered £200,000 to change his story, after Blake and his friend Michael Brown were charged with grievous bodily harm following a brawl which severely injured King.
Last month, police searched Amy's north London home and recovered mobile phone records, bank details and computer software.
Last week, the offices of Amy's accountant were reportedly searched so officers could review all her transactions.
The source added: "As soon as the figure of £200,000 emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction. How could Blake, who is not wealthy, be expected to come up with that kind of money? Police want to see where Amy's money goes to. They will account for every penny."
If found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice Amy could face life in prison.

Wow… life? That seems incredibly harsh. Its amazing though, that everyone has so much sympathy for someone like her… when there's got to be plenty of other people doing the same things- yet because they aren't celebrities, its no big deal. She's a drug addict, who apparently is unstable, unhealthy both physically and mentally… and has blown her career (which inevitably so should, for the choices and circumstances of her life have put her in a shady light) without help she isn't going to come back from this.. Yet there's so many people backing her, and celebrating her when she needs harsh realization that she needs to be locked up and sobered up. Regardless if I like her music, I'm sure her voice and talent speaks for itself. It's a damn shame its gone to waste. Literal waste. This chick may have broken the law. I know in our celebrity crazy world it seems that the law should only apply to the rest of us shmucks, but that ain't the case here. If she was going to knowingly bankroll a bribe to prevent testimony in court in a CRIMINAL case then she WILL GO DOWN. Drugs won't get you anywhere near the time that perverting justice will get you.
