I enjoyed her singing. You're just hating on her Perez, she has her own style of singing, not everyone has to sing it like Mariah…then you'd be saying she's trying to be Mariah. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. I think she was very good at her rendition.

When you sing someone else's song, you WILL be compared to them, hence the reason people DON'T REMAKE MARIAH CAREY songs! It's as simple as that. I like Miley, but she's not that good of a singer and should not sing Mariah Carey songs. All I Want For Christmas has become a modern classic and still sounds fresh 13 years after it's release. This is and will always be Mariah's song.

EWWW YEAH!! She ruined Christmas. That was THE worst cover I have ever heard…it's not so much the quality of her voice (although it was mediocre) she just completely butchered the song. Damn hick.
One last thing to add…I don't think people should be offended by Perez saying the Jonas Brothers lipsynched, because they did…on televised events like these, they have to lipsynch. They did for the Macy's Day Parade, as well (and same with the other artists). Otherwise they always sing live, and they are amazing.

But, if you've heard the actual song, I mean, besides the live version, it sounded EXACTLY the same when they played at the parade. Like I said, love 'em to death, but even through my fangirl squeals while watching them perform, I was like "Aw, they're lip synching, I can tell…" I thought it was cute though. =P
Oh, P-SHAW! Miley didn't suck one bit….she did it HER way, in her own voice…and she sang her heart out. Covering a Mariah song was a ballsy choice, and I like her more all the time.
AH - the Jonas Brothers can do no wrong in my eyes! Unlike Miley, btw, they were on a FLOAT in an actual parade. Which is the only reason why they had to lip-sync. Float/tech thing, DUH. They are fab live.
For some reason, though, I notice Nick (my least favorite brother by far) is always really charming when they lip-sync on floats?
We totally broke our no TV on Christmas rule for the parade, for the Brothers. Good fun!!

Dress was way too short, actually saw flashes of her underwear/crotch during performance. Singing was great but looked like a whore with the heels/ short hooker mini short dress/ too much makeup for a 15 year old role model. That dress was way too short for a Disney performance! Or any performance for a 15 year old role model. Lose the hooker look Miley! You are too classy for the short hemline hooker dresses at your YOUNG age!
