We think they would have preferred Pamela Anderson in a bikini stripping to one of his songs, but this isn't that bad.
For the second year in a row, Kid Rock spent the holidays with the soldiers overseas.
On a massive U.S.O. tour, the rocker did 13 shows in 7 diffrent countries in 5 days.
Kinda awesome.
Rock on and our thoughts and warm wishes to everyone away from their loved ones this Christmas.

See this is my point! At first you thought that the war was all about weapons of mass destruction. Wrong! Then, to bring Saddam Hussein down (former friend of Bush) . Done! Now for the freedom for Americans???? The terrorists from 9/11 were from AFGHANISTAN not Iraq. And as a matter of fact, the war has invited more hate on the US around the world and therefore more of a reason for Muslims to target the US. So the situation has gotten worse. So there troops are there for no good reason. At this stage I feel like I'm more concearned about the troops being used as puppets than anyone.

A big reason as to why the US is wealthy is because they have been involved in wars in the past and sold weapons to other countries involved in vicious wars. Not all countries that don't support the US hate capitalism but yet there are some who just don't think that the poor struggling while the rich have money to burn is the right system. I think that there needs to be a system right in between as neither communism or capitalism works well. See, the problem is that there are many wealthy who work but also manywho just obtain welth through luck or stealing from the poor. I'm wealthy but work very hard and I have sympathy for the poor who work hard. Not all poor are poor because they're lazy.

The point we are making is that they deserve respect. Everyone does. But everyone gets caught up in themselves and they can't see that the military is necessary and that they do willing join to fight for the country, regardless if you believe in the wars or not. The beauty of America is that we have the choice to do things. We're not told at 18 that we have to join the military, we do it because we believe in the country, not the politics. This is why I have no desire to get into politics anymore. Everyone is too self-absorbed to care about the country itself.

Of course they signed up for service, but it took a special courage of their convictions to their country and fellow Americans to sign up for a job that they knew was dangerous and potenially life threatening. Many who fight believe that the cost is worth it to continue to afford their families and even ungrateful fellow citizens like you the lifestyle we have here. …. so YES… they do DESERVE more respect and regard than the average person on our streets, they do a job not all of us would be willing or able to do. To the haters, you don't have to support the war to support our troops. THEY are doing their jobs and right now, the job they are being told to do is being in Iraq. Just like any other employee/employer relationship. And if they didn't go over there, they wouldn't be "just fired" and look for another job, they would be charged with desertion and end up in prison. Big decision. And yes, they had a choice when they enlisted; however, many of them chose to out of patriotism for their country. Didn't Saddam support Al Qaeda, who was BEHIND 9/11…not to mention that Saddam and his regime tortured the Iraqi people. What about the Iraqi soccer team who he had tortured and some of the members slaughtered because they lost a game…bet our football players for the NFL are glad that we are in America.
To those who hate the USA, then get out of the country and if you don't live here, mind your business and pay attention to your own country, no country is perfect.
As far as the "uneducated redneck" comments, well that's BS. Many of our soldiers are educated, some even with masters degrees. Why don't you "independent thinkers" try to go to college while living in the equivalent of a mobile home and worry about getting mortared on a daily basis and having your internet go out periodically and see how "easy" it is?

I'm in the military and know folks at the USO–they have a really hard time getting celebs to come entertain the troops. Some are afraid to go, some don't want to be seen as supporting the policy so they say f*** the troops, some of the few that agree to go, actually get ask to get PAID for it, beyond the typical expenses. This isn't Bob Hope's Hollywood anymore. Kid, Gary Sinise and even Wayne Newton are huge, huge USO supporters, and thank God for them and for you, Perez! Oorah!
