Thank you for responding to my post. I believe that however insignificant this talk may come across to others, that the opinions we have to express are very important. Particularly, as you said not too many people feel "free" or comfortable enough to talk about this subject matter or to talk about any issue regarding sexuality and sex. And I must say for myself, although we are having this discussion behind the veil of a computer, it is still very freeing to be able to express your thoughts and to speak your mind, the fact that we are even having this discussion at all is most important.
Although things have changed, and many things are not tabu anymore so- to speak, I can't help still feeling as a young woman that we as women are still oppressed by our sexuality- and yes we have broken down many walls when it comes to our own sexuality- but I still think there is a double- standard in society for women, and that we are in some ways almost forced to feel ashamed or condemned for our sexual acts, ideas, or feelings.

And they were looked at differently- and I understand that much of society's old paradigm's regarding sex have vanished today, but many still remain. And it is both frustrating and discouraging for many young women out there, when men are praised for their prowess and sexuality, and to this day society has not completely accepted women for being sexual creatures.
