Star magazine editorial director Bonnie Fuller has written this article claiming that Britney had her big breakdown Thursday night on purpose.
For real!
Fuller hypothesizes that Brit Brit was jealous of all the attention that little sister Jamie Lynn was getting because of her teenage pregnancy, which drove Unfitney to act out.
Now, we had joked that Britney would do something to upstage her sister, but come on!!!

For one thing, that article was written horribly. It sounds like something a high school student would fabricate for their school paper. Actually, it's not even that good. Let us all realize that the first step she will have to take is admitting she has a problem. Since she appears to hold no one's opiniuon higher than her own, it is unlikely that she will accept that conclusion. While it may be incomprehensible to many that she might not have normal maternal instincts; what chain of logic could she possibly have that allowed her to think that her ongoing behavior and failure to comply with court ordered depositions would result in anything but the loss of her children. Therefore - either she doesn't really care or want responsibily for the kids or can't see the obvious conclusions of her actions. There is no person who has the legal right to force her in to a mental health program. After the present evaluation, the court may disallow her visitation with the children but they will have to release her. As long as she remains in denial that she has a problem, she will get no help and eventually self destruct. What a shame.

All Britney needs to do is get gas or get a coffee to get her picture taken. It's posted all over these websites as if it's world news. She didn't need publicity. Her activities in the last few months are what I would consider laying low. I know the rest of you think that to lay low she shouldn't be seen outside her house for three months. But why bother, she'd have to leave eventually and when she did it would be even more (if that's possible) of a circus. It doesn't matter if Britney gets coffee or if she goes to a club, she receives the same amount of coverage. No way. That's ridiculous. She's been on this constant downward spiral for well over a year now - way before her mom and sister were even half as much in the spotlight as they are now. This has been a long time in the making. She already had a breakdown last year when she shaved her head, and this is just another one of her episodes that we're hearing about. It makes me wonder that if these are the kinds of things we're hearing about publicly, what on earth goes on with her behind closed doors? Kind of scary. I think it's a mixture of attention-seeking and a cry for help. Let's face it: she lost her mind a while back.
I think after her split with Justin when she went away for a while Britney got a taste of a normal life and she liked it. I don't think she ever had the passion she once had after that. But, what's she going to do, her existance she was 10 has been based on being a celebrity. Someone who grows up like that can never be like us in the real world and we can never grasp what it is like to be them. When she had Sean P. she was photographed everywhere with him without the presence of a nanny and without Kevin and she never went out. Something snapped in her, whether it was the second baby back to back, the divorce, I don't know. I'm not saying what she went through isn't something that others go through and handle well every day but some people's mental state is more fragile than others. So, even though I believe that Britney has mental problems, I recognize that she's someone's daughter, someone's sister, someone's friend and someone's mother, that she's human. I want her to get help and land on her feet, for her sake, the sake of everyone that loves her and for the sake of her two boys. Instead of tearing her down, I like to root for her to pull through, because I like to think i'm a decent person. What is wrong with the world today that members of society are wishing death upon a person? What kind of people are you?

I think she had a bonifide nervous breakdown. She needs put in a place where nobody, including her lousy parents, or her freeloading ex husband can reach her . I havent thought about that… Even though it may be possible i really dont think she would do that, or at least i hope she didnt cause then she is even crazier than i thought. I have a sister who is a boderline personality who does stuff like this so this woman is possibly correct. My sister creates crisis' so she can be the center of attention. She obviously does not do it to this degree but it still gets real old real fast. Her latest crisis when I was due to have a baby was that she had cancer and was headed to an oncologist, got everybody all worried… 4 months later, no oncologist has ever been consulted and she is the picture of health. Britney could be doing the same. This woman shouldn't totally be discounted… even though she is the target of your scorn.

and not to make myself out to be an idiot lol, but i've been accused of being on drugs or drunk before when I haven't been. If someone looks tired does that mean they're on drugs? If someone acts out of character does that mean they're on drugs ? If someone is loud does that mean they're on drugs? If someone does silly things does that mean they're on drugs?

For the first time I have to agree with Perez, Jamie Lynn has always had her back and was always a support to her why would Britney do that to her own sis? Britney favors her sis over her own mother! Watching the footage, Britney does looked dazed and even if Jamie didn't annouce she was preggers, the result would still be the same thing. I'm glad she's taken away, now hopefully she can be locked up and have some time alone, to reflect on life and actually make herself better! For god's sakes!
it's not completely unfathomable that she would upstage anyone and everyone at this point (which she has still managed to do).
she's at the point of no return. no amount of damage control can remedy the negative and albeit skeptical attention she seems to draw from the public, as well as the stigma that she's completely out of her mind. she will never again regain the credibility she once enjoyed as a professional* performer. this negative publicity is all she has left and her last stop before being dismissed as a distant memory of the media and general public– no one likes to be forgotten.
i sincerely feel an almost-overwhelming sense of pity for the girl. almost.
*please understand that "professional" is used in the loosest sense of the word.
I think the media has finally got what they (and you perez) have been pushing her to. Just be grateful shes not dead. I hope she gets the help she needs and makes the biggest come back ever. She deserves it. Shes not a bad person, she has just been through alot. Its easy for everyone to say shes famous and has money but that doesnt make you happy.
