Star magazine editorial director Bonnie Fuller has written this article claiming that Britney had her big breakdown Thursday night on purpose.
For real!
Fuller hypothesizes that Brit Brit was jealous of all the attention that little sister Jamie Lynn was getting because of her teenage pregnancy, which drove Unfitney to act out.
Now, we had joked that Britney would do something to upstage her sister, but come on!!!

Loads of people get held on suicide watch, it doesn't mean anything. If you threaten suicide, whether you're serious about it or not they will take you in if someone calls them about you. Also the 72 hours is mandatory.

Whole breakdown plan is a ploy for publicity. It worked for Meriah Carey. After her mental breakdown, she released music and sales were phenominal. Britany has tried to show a "breakdown" now so many times. Just does not seem to work. Guess maybe Meriah Carey actually being a good signer and talented lady was the reason she sold so much. No way. Britney has been exhibiting classic symptoms of bipolar disease for months now. This breakdown was the next logical thing to happen to someone with her symptoms who goes untreated. I really hope that this will be the catalyst that finally gets her the help she so desperately needs. I think people have forgotten that Britney hasn't always acted this way. There was a time before all of this when she was a cute, normal, semi-talented (debatable) young girl. Now she's a mother with two sons who need her. Her actions should not be something to be made fun of. They are the actions of someone with a serious chemical imbalance of the brain. I hope she comes out of this healthy and strong and able to get back to mothering her sons.

Sorry Perez - I think the girl is bi-polar. It pre dates her sister's pregnancy & as someone who has the same illness I can see some similarities. The difference is that she has been having her meltdown in public. Alcohol or Drug abuse? Probably. People with Bi-polar commanly experience this. Just hope she goes on the right meds and therapy & gets her act together. But somehow I don't see a happy ending…..
I truely hope there is someone who knows Britney well, and who she trusts who will help her see that denial won't solve problems, and that there is a world out there beyond LA.

I feel bad for Britney and her 2 boys. She needs help.. she is like everyone else who gets so depressed and down on themselves. I am a therapist and that is the FIRST thing I thought. She may not have consciously planned to do this, but on some level this was absolutely done on purpose because of her sister. No doubt in my mind.

The behavior was created and enabled by Kevin Federline who is smarter than America, or the rest of the world for that matter, thought. Think back… Britney's arratic behavior began when she met Kevin. She fell into the hands of Kevin who clearly manipulated her and enabled her craziness.
