Star magazine editorial director Bonnie Fuller has written this article claiming that Britney had her big breakdown Thursday night on purpose.
For real!
Fuller hypothesizes that Brit Brit was jealous of all the attention that little sister Jamie Lynn was getting because of her teenage pregnancy, which drove Unfitney to act out.
Now, we had joked that Britney would do something to upstage her sister, but come on!!!

Sorry, but my sister has the same condition that Britney apparently does, and she calls 911 and says she's dying every time someone gets more attention than her. It's called Histrionic Personality Disorder, and it's not even remotely funny. Look it up.

YES, of course she did! It was killing her that even with all of her cavorting around town trying to be photographed, her sis was still getting the attention. TWO covers in two weeks! Heaven Forbid somebody outdo Brit brit!! She did not even LOOK out of control, she appeared to be quite enjoying the attention! She calls the paps to photograph her for #$^ sake! Unfortunately, she treats her kids as photo ops also, and THAT is something I respect Kevin for, he keeps those kids out of the limelight, where SHE just traumatizes them every time they get with her! She did this as a way to get the attention back onto herself. Period. I still feel for her, because I think she has a serious brain chemical problem and needs meds. But she is a big girl, and refuses to take them, so hey, she must like the DRAMZ!! DUH!

Perez that's bullshit. I have been down this road before, I held my mother and my boyfriend hostage in a bedroom at gunpoint, and guess what I WAS ON DRUGS! My parents had me committed for homicidal and suicidal tendencies, I was locked up for two weeks and then had to go to rehab. The first of many trips to rehab. She is acting just like I did when I was on speed, and people saying well she passed the drug test she has taken so it can't be drugs….bullshit again. When I was in outpatient rehab, when I left on a Friday thats when i would start with the cocaine. I would use Friday and Saturday, just to return to rehab on Monday and pass a urinalysis. With cocaine those test are simple to pass. Why are they not doing hair follicle testing on her?
The only thing that made me stop doing what I was doing was having a child, and that doesn't seem to be reason enough for her.

I am inclined to agree with Bonnie Fuller's assesment. As soon as the news was announced that her sister, Jamie Lynne, was preggers, I just new that Brit would have to out do her in some fashion. Afterall - she outsold Brit with her O.K. magazine cover and that won't do for the Britster! She has to be on top. She is addicted to the attention. Why else does she do the crazy things she does? Oh yeah - because she is mentally ill! (Wasn't her grandma too?) I don't think this is the sole cause, but certainly a major contributor to it.

I honestly wouldn't put it past shitney to pull a stunt like this to get attention. Anyone who gets gas 4+ times a day and is seen in public every single day is an attention whore. There are celebrities out there who barely get seen once a month and are just as big as her if not more. I have no doubt she's bi-polar. She has her mother to thank for shoving her into showbusiness when it's obviously not the right environment/career choice for her mental state.
She may have done what she did because of an unconscious need to have all the attention for herself and her sisters pregnancy could have been the spark that lit the fire that ignited her breakdown. However, it is important to note that these so-called "nervous" breakdowns occur almost always as the result of many factors being compounded. Whatever the cause I would guess (I obviously haven't treated her) she needs some very serious counseling possibly for many years inconcjunction with medication to stabilize her moods. Above all I believe she was most likley never taught how to deal with adult problems on her own and after she fired the people who ran her life for her she got stuck under neath a pile of problems that she can not handle.

After the fact police info and her ability to just check herself out of the hospital pretty much indicates that she wasn't nearly as bad as was reported. Her laughter in the ambulance was probably because she just found out about the 4 helicopters hovering overhead and just how many response vehicles were deployed just for her. Anyone can act crazy whenever they want, doesn't mean you are. I also think her thing with Adnan was done just to get back at Kevin.

I was thinking the same thing, it was sad, she used to be my idol, I still like her now even though it's more like sympathy. She tried to get more attention because her little sis all over the news now, she used to be the number one and now she felt left behind. The next thing perhaps suicide attempts or God forbid endanger her kids. She needs to get mental help and go away from the spotlight for a while before it's too late.

I believe that due to her entire life being thrown into the publics eye, this was inevitable. From the point when her first single came out she's been all over magazine covers for her actions and her choices. Some staged, with no doubt, but I believe that if anyones life is ripped open for everyone to see that person would start to lose their mind as well. I do not believe that she had her head on straight with her decision to marry K-Fed, but I believe it was a desperate attempt at having a 'normal' life. Husband, kids, house, fame. I just think she chose the wrong man. Had it have been someone else, I somehow believe things would've turned out better. The constant stories, rumors and pictures floating around about her do not help her situation and although I don't feel completely sypathetic, I do believe that she needs to seek professional help for more than just a few hours.
